The robots contain a 320mAh lithium polymer rechargeable battery. The robots can drive around for up to one hour before they need charging. They charge at 300mA, so charging takes about an hour.

The robots have metal contacts on the front, so they can drive onto a metal pad and powered rail and charge themselves up. You can own a swarm of hundreds of robots and keeping them all charged is still practical - they do it themselves!

Note, the design of the charging contacts needs some improvement to guarantee a reliable connection. We hope the Formica community will grasp this challenge and come up with some creative solutions!
